Pool resurfacing & interior finishes

A new interior finish changes the color, depth and feel of the water.

The interior finish is the surface you see through the water, so it sets the color of the pool and the way it catches the light. Resurfacing replaces a worn, stained or rough finish with a new one, and it is often the right moment to update tile, coping and equipment too.

We resurface pools in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Phoenix and across the East Valley. Every project starts with an on-site evaluation, and every remodel is pressure-tested.

Scope

What resurfacing can include

  • Removal of the old interior finish
  • Repairs to the surface beneath, as the evaluation finds
  • A new pebble, quartz or premium finish
  • New waterline tile, if you are updating it at the same time
  • Pressure testing
  • Careful start-up of the new finish

Part of a bigger plan? This work is often combined with other updates. See all our pool remodeling services.

Our approach

How We Approach It

Wet Edge finishes

Wet Edge Technologies featured our work in 2025, and its finishes are on our award-winning builds and our remodels. On a recent Paradise Valley remodel, Wet Edge’s top-of-the-line Primera Stone finish gives the water a deep, jewel-like clarity.

Chosen in person

Plaster, quartz and pebble aggregates differ in texture, color depth and durability. In our design center you see the samples, we explain the trade-offs for your pool, and you choose a finish that suits the architecture.

Color and light

Darker finishes read as deep and reflective; lighter ones as bright and clear. We consider the house, the shade and the lighting so the water looks right at noon and after dark.

Warranty

Pebble finishes carry a 15-year warranty, and every remodel includes a workmanship warranty of at least two years.

Questions

Pool resurfacing FAQs

How do I know if my pool needs resurfacing?

Common signs are a rough or etched surface, stains that cleaning won't remove, and areas where the finish has worn thin or is coming loose. An on-site evaluation tells you whether resurfacing alone will do or whether tile, coping or equipment should be addressed at the same time.

Pebble, quartz or plaster: which interior finish is best?

It depends on the look you want, the feel underfoot and how long you want the finish to last. Pebble finishes are among the most durable, and ours carry a 15-year warranty. We'll show you samples and recommend the right finish for your pool.

How long does pool resurfacing take?

Our remodels range from a couple of weeks to several months. A resurfacing-only project sits toward the shorter end, unless repairs beneath the old finish or added work extend it. You get a schedule after the evaluation.

Do you pressure-test before resurfacing?

Yes. Every remodel is pressure-tested to make sure the pool has no leaks. We consider it a vital step, and it is never skipped.
